Phoenix Home Care and Hospice is seeking a detail-oriented and organized entry level Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist you will play a crucial role in handling the company's payables, processing invoices, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate is a reliable and efficient professional with a strong understanding of accounts payable processes and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

• Coding of items such as invoices, Credit Card Charges etc., proper entry into the financial system for a Multilocation Company. 

• Handles all vendor correspondence via phone or email 
• Investigates and resolves problems associated with processing of invoices and purchase orders. 
• Receives, researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
• W9 and 1099 End of Year Tracking 
• Bank Statement Reconciliation 

• Back Up for Daily Deposits as needed 
• Assists with monthly status reports, and monthly closings.
• Files, maintains, and distributes accounting documents, records and reports. 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of MS Office software required
• Experience with SAGE Accounting software preferred but not required
• Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Self-Motivated
• Ability to work independently and in as part of a team
• Other duties as assigned
