Job Description

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Activity Planning: Assist in creating daily and monthly activity calendars, developing a variety of programs including physical, creative, and social activities.  
  • Facilitate Activities: Lead or co-lead group activities, providing encouragement and support for resident participation.  
  • Resident Support: Transport residents to and from activities, and assist them during events to ensure their safety and comfort.  
  • Environment Management: Set up and clean activity areas, ensuring they are safe, organized, and equipped for planned events.  
  • Documentation: Maintain records of resident activity participation, progress, and any observed changes in their physical or mental state.

Overall Purpose
The activity assistant plays a vital role in a nursing home, contributing to the residents' overall quality of life by providing enriching experiences that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical and emotional development.  

 

Must be able to pass drug screen and background check
