InfraHire is looking for a Architect/MEP Designer in Alexandria, VA.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate or firm will have strong experience in residential design, building code compliance, and coordination between architectural and engineering disciplines .
Develop comprehensive architectural and MEP drawings for permitting and construction.
Create demolition, layout, and proposed plan sets reflecting interior modifications (kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, and walls).
Coordinate plumbing and electrical layouts to ensure seamless integration with the new design.
Prepare and submit permit-ready documentation that complies with City of Alexandria and HOA requirements.
Collaborate closely with the general contractor and project management team through design and review stages.
Address and revise drawings as needed until all required approvals are obtained.
Licensed Architect in Virginia or accredited MEP Design Professional/Firm.
Proven experience with residential renovation projects , preferably condominiums.
Strong understanding of Virginia building codes, local permitting, and HOA design review processes .
Proficiency in design and drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
Excellent coordination, documentation, and communication skills .
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering , or a related discipline.
Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, permit-ready drawing sets .
