Job Description

Clinical Medical Assistant Location Wilmington, NC :

We are looking for a full time Medical Assistant for our busy medical practice. Medical Assistants will provide direct care to the patients under the authority of the physicians in office. Responsibilities include assisting the physicians for optimal patient care as well as providing non-clinical support for the practice.

Our Medical Assistants are responsible for checking the patient's vitals, prepping them for the provider contact, stocking and sanitizing exam rooms, calling in prescriptions, administering injections and medications, assisting with minor procedures, shooting x-rays, returning patient phone calls, referrals, data entry, etc.

Your goal will be to ensure a smooth patient care in our busy family practice, so that our patients receive the best possible care.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a medical assistant or similar clinical position
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, regulations and medical assistant procedures
  • Knowledge of databases and EMR systems
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Patience and discretion
  • Organizational and multitasking skills
  • High school diploma required; additional training in Medical Assistant is a plus
  • Must be fully Vaccinated against COVID-19

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
