As part of Insight Global’s Finance team, the Commercial Finance Analyst will build project plans, analyze ongoing project performance, protect gross margin, and provide insights to management about the health of the commercial pipeline and active engagements.
Successful candidates will be self-starters that focus on quality results while seeking to understand and improve the processes and tools that impact their day-to-day duties. The ability to function independently and prioritize and pivot between tasks is critical. This is a high speed role that requires discipline, grit, and a positive attitude while under stress.
Responsibilities: o Partner with Sales and Solutions professionals to design project plans that align with the company’s financial goals
o Track and own project revenue and gross margin forecasts
o Provide variance to budget and profitability analysis for projects
o Execute revenue recognition controls
o Understand and model the impact of commercial terms on a project budget
o Research existing customer agreements to ensure all commercial terms are modeled
o Ensure change orders are accurately and fully modeled and recorded
o Monitor industry and economic news and incorporate trends that impact selling price
o Other duties as assigned
o Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
o A minimum of 3 years of experience in a FP&A or detailed financial modeling role
o Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrated through a track record of data-driven decision-making
o Comfort with sourcing data from a data warehouse via SQL Server or Tableau interfaces
o Advanced knowledge of Excel required
