We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure in a dynamic cloud environment. The role involves driving advanced analytics, business intelligence, and machine learning initiatives by creating efficient data pipelines and robust datasets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, while optimizing performance, ensuring data quality, and supporting both batch and real-time processing. The ideal candidate thrives in autonomous settings, navigates complex challenges, and contributes to high-impact projects that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Accountabilities

• Design, implement, and optimize well-structured analytical datasets to support reporting, analytics, and data science models.
• Architect, build, and maintain scalable, reliable data pipelines for diverse applications.
• Implement and support Big Data solutions for both scheduled batch processing and real-time/streaming analytics.
• Collaborate with product managers and business teams to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, performance tuning, and scalability of data solutions.
• Continuously improve data workflows, orchestration, and integration practices.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Expertise in BigQuery, including data ingestion, performance optimization, and data modeling at petabyte scale.
• Proficiency with other GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Cloud Dataflow/Beam, and Pub/Sub.
• Expert-level Python programming skills and familiarity with relevant data engineering libraries.
• Strong command of advanced SQL for querying, data processing, and performance tuning.
• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Cloud Composer, Dagster).
• Knowledge of DevOps/CI/CD practices and version control systems (e.g., Git, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
• Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
