Lead Sheetfed Offset Bindery Technician

Day schedule: 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

A day in the life at Inovar

You clock in as the sun comes up, scan your job tickets, and map out the morning’s work. The folder and cutter get dialed in first. You verify specs, pull the first sheets, and make fine adjustments until the folds, trims, and stitches match the standards our customers expect. As jobs move from press to finishing, you keep the line humming—switching from trimmer to stitcher, logging production counts, and jumping on any hiccups before they slow the schedule. Throughout the day, you partner closely with press operators and production teammates, maintain a clean, safe cell, and perform routine upkeep so the equipment stays in top form.

What you’ll handle

• Set up, run, and maintain bindery/finishing equipment such as folders, cutters, stitchers, and trimmers
• Verify quality against job specs and company standards; perform ongoing checks
• Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues to keep throughput on pace
• Accurately record production data; follow all safety procedures and 5S practices
• Coordinate with press and production teams to hit schedules and deadlines
• Conduct routine maintenance and keep your work area orderly

What you bring

• 3+ years in lithographic bindery or closely related print finishing
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving approach
• Ability to read and execute job tickets, work orders, and specifications
• Knowledge of quality assurance and print safety standards
• Extreme attention to detail; able to work independently and collaboratively
• Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime when needed
