Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager III of the Fiscal Management Unit, the SSM II provides program-level management for the Retailer Financial Services (RFS) program. The incumbent plans, organizes, and directs activities of two subordinate units, the Retailer Financial Partnerships Unit and the Retailer Financial Support Unit, responsible for retailer credit, onboarding, collections, sanctions, and compliance activities for more than 23,000 retailers statewide. The SSM II ensures consistent implementation of fiscal policy, coordination across divisions, and the delivery of professional, customer-focused financial services that support the Lottery’s mission to maximize education funding.

This position is headquartered at the Sacramento Headquarters location and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as assigned. Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Eligibility for telework requires the employee to reside in California per California Government Code Section 14200 which states: “telecommuting means the partial or total substitution of computers or telecommunication technologies, or both, for the commute to work by employees residing in California.
