We are seeking a Senior System Administrator with strong, hands-on experience in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) implementation , VMware Aria (vRealize) , and Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure .
This is a highly technical, onsite infrastructure engineering role supporting a large-scale, modern virtualized environment. The ideal candidate will be strong in VMware, hyperconverged systems, Windows Server, and hybrid-cloud integrations.
Lead implementation, configuration, and administration of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
Manage and optimize VMware Aria / vRealize Suite (Automation, Operations, Log Insight, etc.)
Administer and support Nutanix AHV , Prism, and hyperconverged platforms
Manage VMware vSphere/vCenter operations and lifecycle management
Maintain and troubleshoot Windows Server environments (2008–2025)
Support hybrid identity and infrastructure integrations across cloud/on-prem environments
Perform virtualization migrations, cluster upgrades, and infrastructure modernization projects
Implement system security, compliance controls, and best practices
Monitor system performance and proactively resolve VCF/Aria/Nutanix issues
Collaborate with network, cloud, and application teams on architecture and performance planning
Travel occasionally to additional sites for on-prem support (3–5 trips expected)
Hands-on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) implementation experience
Strong VMware Aria (vRealize) background (Automation, Operations, Log Insight)
Nutanix AHV / Prism administration experience
Deep experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter in enterprise environments
Strong Windows Server (2008–2025) administration
Solid knowledge of Active Directory, GPO, DNS, DHCP
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (VLANs, routing, firewall basics)
Experience supporting large-scale or multi-site infrastructure environments
Advanced troubleshooting capabilities across virtualization and hyperconverged stacks
Azure administration experience
Azure AD/Entra ID or hybrid identity exposure
VMware certifications: VCP , VCF Specialist , Aria Specialist
Nutanix certifications: NCP , NCM
Experience working in fast-paced, distributed, or plant/site environments
100% onsite role based in Durham, NC
Occasional travel expected (3–5 domestic trips)
