Job Title: Sushi Chef – Elevated Omakase Experience

Job Overview:
Seeking an experienced Sushi Chef to join a refined Omakase experience within a high-end, members-only club. Must demonstrate exceptional technique, deep knowledge of Japanese ingredients, and an ability to guide guests through a curated culinary journey.

Responsibilities:

• Execute a multi-course, seasonal Omakase menu with precision and artistry
• Work primarily with imported Japanese fish and rare ingredients
• Maintain the highest standards of knife work, rice preparation, and plating
• Engage with guests during service to explain dishes and enhance the experience
• Collaborate with sourcing partners for premium, authentic ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adherence to food safety protocols
• Innovate and evolve offerings while respecting traditional Japanese technique
• Support overall kitchen operations and training of junior staff as needed
• Execute private events with different formats of sushi presentation

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional sushi/Omakase chef experience in high-end environments
• Expert-level knife skills and traditional Japanese techniques
• In-depth knowledge of imported fish from Japan, seasonality, and sourcing
• Strong communication and presentation skills; guest-facing experience a must
• Ability to work under pressure with grace and precision
