Position Title: Travel RN – GI Lab/Endoscopy

Location: Hyannis, MA 02601

Job Type: Travel | Contract

Shift: Day (5x8s)

Travel Pay Range: $58–$62/hr ($2,175–$2,325/week)

Position Summary:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Travel RN – GI Lab/Endoscopy for an exciting Travel job in Hyannis, MA.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

  • Active RN license in Massachusetts.

  • 2–3 years of recent Endoscopy/GI Lab experience required.

  • BLS and ACLS certifications required.

  • Moderate Sedation certification required.

  • Completion of pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient advocacy skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide complete nursing care for patients undergoing gastroenterology procedures (e.g., colonoscopy, biopsy, polypectomy, esophageal dilation, PEG placement, bandings, electrocautery).

  • Administer medications safely, including moderate sedation, under physician guidance.

  • Perform pre- and post-procedure assessments and follow-up care, including discharge planning.

  • Assess physical, mental, and psychosocial status of patients across the lifespan.

  • Monitor and manage patient pain, restraints, and respond to complications.

  • Recognize and report signs of abuse or neglect per legal requirements.

  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, post-care instructions, and follow-up care.

  • Document patient diagnoses, care, and procedural outcomes accurately using computerized systems.

  • Maintain required licenses, certifications, and registrations (BLS, ACLS, Moderate Sedation, pharmacology, and basic arrhythmia exams).

  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and demonstrate service excellence.

  • Assist physicians with gastroenterology procedures and minor surgical interventions as needed.
