Job Description

Under the general direction and supervision of the Administrative Director of Marketing and Communications, the Video Producer is responsible for conceptualizing, filming, editing, and producing video content that enhances the college’s brand and supports strategic marketing initiatives. The Video Producer develops compelling visual narratives that showcase student success, campus life, academic programs, and institutional achievements while maintaining brand consistency across all video projects. This is a full-time regular position.

Essential Functions

  • Develop, plan, and produce high-quality video content for various platforms, including social media, website, digital advertising, and television, that aligns with the college’s brand standards and strategic marketing objectives.
  • Script, storyboard, film, and edit video projects from conception to completion, ensuring all content meets professional standards and effectively communicates key messages.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to identify video opportunities that support recruitment, retention, advancement, and brand awareness goals.
  • Conduct on-camera interviews with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners to capture authentic stories that showcase the college’s impact.
  • Create and maintain a comprehensive video content library that supports marketing initiatives and provides ready-to-use assets for various departments.
  • Manage post-production processes, including editing, color correction, sound design, motion graphics, and final output to ensure professional quality across all video deliverables.
  • Coordinate with campus departments to schedule video shoots while minimizing disruption to campus operations and maximizing production efficiency.
  • Maintain video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and editing software; recommend equipment upgrades as needed.
  • Train and supervise student workers and interns in video production techniques and best practices.
  • Ensure all video content meets accessibility requirements, including proper captioning and audio descriptions.
  • Develop and implement consistent visual styles and templates that reinforce brand identity across all video content.
  • Track and analyze video performance metrics to inform future content strategy and production decisions.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in video production and content marketing.
  • Participate in marketing strategy sessions and campaign planning to ensure effective integration of video content across all marketing channels.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Film, Video Production, Digital Media, Communications, or a directly related field.
  2. Two (2) years of professional video production experience.
