Heavy Equipment Operator – Haul Truck Driver

Job Overview:

We are hiring a safety-focused Heavy Equipment Operator to haul salt and other materials in an underground mining environment. This role involves operating haul trucks and other heavy machinery to support daily production, with responsibilities that include loading, transporting, and unloading materials, as well as performing basic maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate haul trucks and other equipment in all areas of underground mining
  

• Load and transport materials efficiently while following all safety and operational protocols
  

• Perform basic equipment servicing, including greasing, fluid checks, and component replacement
  

• Support maintenance tasks, including conveyor, screen deck, and crusher adjustments
  

• Assist in general site operations including crushing, screening, and support duties
  

• Keep work area clean and organized through routine housekeeping
  

• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time
  

• Communicate any safety or operational concerns to supervisors or management
  

• Cross-train in various functions and adapt to changing work priorities
  

• Follow all company and MSHA safety regulations
  

Qualifications:

• Experience operating heavy equipment such as haul trucks, loaders, or skid steers preferred
  

• High school diploma or GED preferred
  

• Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude is a plus
  

• Strong attention to safety, detail, and situational awareness
  

• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
  

• Must be able to speak, read, and understand English
  

• Must be able to pass a physical and drug screening
  

• Reliable attendance and punctuality required
